Application Procedures

The Ike Barber Transfer Scholarships are designed for students who, after completing one or two years of study at a B.C. public post-secondary institution, will transfer their credits to another public post-secondary institution in B.C. to complete their studies. The award is valued at $5,000.

Successful applicants demonstrate academic merit as well as significant involvement in their community and/or school. Please determine whether you are eligible to apply for this scholarship according to the eligibility criteria.

The 2017 Ike Barber Transfer Scholarships are open to students who will transfer to a new institution between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.  

Applications for the Ike Barber Scholarship include:

  • A completed application form.
  • An unofficial transcript from your current ("sending") institution. (Your sending institution will verify your grades and transferable credits).
  • Official transcript(s) from any other institutions where you have earned transferable credits.
  • Two completed Reference Forms attached to your application.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Completed applications - and reference forms - must be submitted in hard copy to the Financial Aid & Awards office at your current institution by February 17, 2017.
