The Victory in Europe Scholarship was established in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands by Allied troops, including many Canadians, during the Second World War and is in recognition of the strong bond that exists bewteen the two nations to this day. To be eligible for a Victory in Europe Scholarship, applicants must possess Dutch citizenship and be accepted into a master's or doctoral program at a BC public university. The program must be on a full-time basis and the student's period of study must commence during the 2015/2016 academic year. Scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded and may be renewable for up to one year.
